The Lean Startup Approach: How to Launch and Iterate Without Wasting Time or Money

Too many entrepreneurs spend months—or years—developing a product in secret, only to find out no one wants it. This training introduces the Lean Startup approach, which focuses on launching quickly, learning fast, and iterating based on real customer feedback.

We begin by exploring the core principles of Lean: validated learning, MVP (minimum viable product), and pivoting. Participants will learn how to test ideas before building full products, and how to define clear hypotheses about their audience, pricing, and product-market fit.

We’ll walk through examples of MVPs across industries—from simple landing pages to pre-orders and concierge services. Attendees will design their own MVP based on their business idea and learn how to gather actionable feedback.

Next, we address how to measure what matters. Vanity metrics like likes and followers are easy to track but rarely provide insights. Instead, we focus on learning metrics: customer acquisition cost, activation rate, retention, and lifetime value.

The session includes exercises on running experiments, collecting feedback without bias, and knowing when to pivot or persevere. By simulating decision-making in uncertain environments, participants gain confidence in navigating the messy early stages of business.

At the end of the training, participants walk away with a one-page Lean Plan and a 30-day test strategy to validate their next big idea—without wasting time or money.
